Construction logistics planning for Float Offices in Düsseldorf
The property investor Immofinanz is currently constructing the property project "Float" in the Medienhafen in Düsseldorf. A building complex consisting of six different building parts with a rentable floor space of over 30,000 square metres is scheduled to be completed on the long and narrow plot between Holz- and Franziusstrasse by 2018. It will not only contain offices but also offer spaces for showrooms and hospitality establishments. The certifications LEED Gold Shell and Core are planned for this construction project.
As the plot is one of the last in the Medienhafen, the available space is extremely limited: the excavation extends over the entire plot. The use of public land for the loading zones, cabins and storage areas was agreed with the city council. In addition, the unusual pipe routing for the building services supplies demanded a challenging crane concept.
